    Gentle vinyasa yoga is appropriate for students who enjoy and desire a slower paced yoga practice. These classes are designed to give detailed instruction and to be less physically challenging than other vinyasa classes. Gentle vinyasa yoga classes will allow the student to gain strength and flexibility at their own pace with safety and alignment as the main focus.

    A cooling, patient, and deeply intense practice, Yin is a perfect complement to dynamic and muscular styles popular in America today. Yin stimulates and targets connective tissues by working gently into the edge of postures through long holds (between one and ten minutes). By emphasizing actions of ligaments, bones, and joints rather than muscles, these classes encourage an entirely different sort of openness from more active and movement-oriented practices. Suitable for all levels, Yin promotes a sense of slow, deep unwinding and release.

Most classes feature several elements of traditional Ashtanga yoga—including sun salutations, standing poses, preparation for arm balances, dynamic stretching, and pranayama (breathwork). Our diverse family of teachers creatively sequence these elements to reflect their unique personalities while building heat, exploring energy and intention, and fostering greater self-awareness. This practice will build your inner and outer strength, improve your balance, and reduce stress while increasing vitality and athleticism.
