    Vinyasa is a flowing, dynamic yoga practice that cultivates presence by connecting movement with breath. Most classes feature several elements of traditional Ashtanga yoga—including sun salutations, standing poses, preparation for arm balances, dynamic stretching, and pranayama (breathwork). Our diverse family of teachers creatively sequence these elements to reflect their unique personalities while building heat, exploring energy and intention, and fostering greater self-awareness. This practice will build your inner and outer strength, improve your balance, and reduce stress while increasing vitality and athleticism.

    Literally translated from Sanskrit, Vinyasa means “connection.” Vinyasa Yoga synchronizes movement with breath which helps the practitioner develop a greater sense of self­awareness, balance, and harmony with themselves and their environment. Vinyasa classes typically include smoothly flowing movements between poses guided by the force of inhales and exhales. Each class is unique, but may include the many variations of Sun Salutations as well as standing postures, inversions, backbends, twists, forward bends, and deep relaxation.
